Terms of service
Effective date: 30 July 2026
These terms govern your use of loar.co.uk and purchases made from LOAR. Please read them before placing an order.
1. About us
LOAR is operated by The Loar Group Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC851256. Our registered office is 2/3, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP.
You can contact us at info@loar.co.uk.
2. These terms and your consumer rights
These terms apply to purchases made through this website. Nothing in them excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order.
3. Products and availability
We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Colours can appear differently depending on your screen and settings. Measurements are approximate unless we state otherwise.
All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and refund any amount paid for that item.
4. Orders and the contract between us
When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket. An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order; it does not mean we have accepted it.
A contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund any payment taken. We may decline an order for legitimate reasons, including unavailable stock, an unverified payment, a pricing or description error, suspected fraud, or delivery restrictions.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before you submit your order. You must provide current, complete and accurate billing and payment information.
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel the order and refund you.
6. Delivery
Available delivery methods, charges and estimates are shown at checkout. Standard UK delivery is estimated at 3–5 business days unless we state otherwise. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, but we will deliver within any deadline required by law.
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error. We cannot promise that an address can be changed after dispatch.
The goods remain at our risk until they come into the physical possession of you or a person you nominate to receive them. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered.
If delivery is materially delayed, contact us. Any right to end the contract because of delay will be handled in line with consumer law.
7. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Our Refund Policy explains our voluntary 30-day return policy, your statutory cancellation right, return conditions and refund timing. That policy forms part of these terms.
8. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Products must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a product does not meet these standards, contact info@loar.co.uk. We will provide the remedy required by law.
9. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes may have additional terms, expiry dates or eligibility requirements. Unless we say otherwise, codes cannot be combined, have no cash value and must be applied before checkout. We may withdraw a promotion where it has been misused or affected by an obvious error.
10. Accounts and website use
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
You must not misuse the website, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, scrape it in a way that disrupts the service, or use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
11. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including the LOAR name, branding, text, graphics and design, are owned by or licensed to The Loar Group Ltd and protected by intellectual property law. You may view and use the site for personal, non-commercial shopping. No other right is granted without our written permission.
12. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to services supplied by others, including payment providers and social platforms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or their content. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply.
13. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses suffered by a consumer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We are not in breach where delay or failure is caused by an event outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and will respect any cancellation right you have.
14. Personal information
We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you place an order will apply to that order. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. You may bring proceedings in the courts of Scotland or, if you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern: info@loar.co.uk.
17. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. No person other than you and us has a right to enforce the contract between us.
